The Social Security Agency has issued Supplemental Security Income payments to eligible individuals and couples since January 1974, providing financial assistance to those with limited income and resources. Based on the current rate, Social Security will not be able to pay in full by 2035, according to Nexstar Media Wire.
Next year, Social Security payments will likely increase due to rising inflation rates, analysts said. But some people could end up earning less than they currently receive because the increased payments could put them in higher tax brackets.
