Residential property tax payment deadline is June 30 –

The City of Moose Jaw reminds residential property owners that the deadline to pay their 2022 property taxes is June 30.

City Council finalized its 2022 property tax by-law which involved a 5.45% increase in the mileage rate, which included a 3.8% increase for City of Moose Jaw programs and services, and a additional 1.6% increase for Moose Jaw Police Department operations. . The mill rate increase was originally approved in December 2022 budget deliberations.

Now, with the property tax increase, the average single-family residential home will rise to $1,571.69, which breaks down below:

  • $6.76/month; $81.12/year. Globally

  • $2.00/month; $24.00/year. Moose Jaw Police Department

  • $4.76/month; $57.12/year. Municipal services

The city also says that by paying by June 30, residents will avoid a late payment surcharge. They add that there are different payment options available:

  • Payments through the Installment Payment Plan Service (TIPPS)

  • Payments made in person, online or over the phone through your financial institution

  • Use the drop box in front of City Hall which is available 24 hours a day (cheques only)

  • Mail payment to City Hall: 228 Main Street North, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 3J8 (no late payment fee if postmarked June 30, 2022)
