Citcon, a bold team to enable 150 payment methods

payment gateway Citcon integrates its unified payment application programming interface (API) into Bold Commerce’s headless payment experience for a combined solution that will enable retailers and direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands to accept and process over 150 payment methods.

Using a unique integration, the combined solution will allow merchants and brands to accept and process payments using digital wallets, local payment systems and credit cards, according to a Press release Wednesday (June 29).

The combination of Citcon’s end-to-end payment solution with Bold Commerce’s payment platform provides merchants with a way to serve overseas markets from Asia-Pacific to Latin America.

“E-commerce is, by definition, a global market,” said Wei Jiang, president and chief operating officer of Citcon. “By enabling businesses to easily accept digital wallets and consumer-preferred payment systems in countries like China, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Latin America, we enable any business to operate as a global company and reach these previously untapped markets. ”

Citcon’s solution encompasses payment processing and gateway services, as well as fund reporting and settlement, all through API integration. Bold powers checkout experiences that give brands flexibility and easy access to preferred checkout methods, which can reduce cart abandonment, depending on the version.

“As brands and retailers seek to expand their business into new markets, our integration with Citcon will allow them to expand Bold Checkout’s capabilities internationally, with expanded payment options across all channels,” said said Yvan Boisjoli, co-founder and CEO of Bold Commerce.

“Bold Commerce and Citcon recognize that when retailers provide shoppers with their preferred payment options and a seamless checkout experience, they see increased conversion rates,” Boisjoli said.

Vera Bradley, Harry Rosen, Staples Canada, Pepsi and Mars are among the more than 90,000 merchants and brands that use Bold Commerce for preferred payment methods, price and promotion management, subscription capabilities, purchase online, in-store pickup (BOPIS) and more, according to the statement.
