Smile Lowering my GT (but not too low)

I want to lower my GT but I think that most of the lowering springs available will lower the car too far. SInce the GT is already lower than other previous models.

I don't want to put my car "in the weeds". I just want to decrease the tire clearance and improve handling.

Can anyone make a suggestion? Do you have pics of your GT lowered? Can you refer me to a web site for the parts?

Thanks for the help.

Mopar has lowering springs they were offereing. think it was 1" all around.
I would go with Eibachs. I have no contact now and driveability is great. have had no scraping issues either with the GT. Love the look as well. Goldlines are way too low for me.

Did yoy use the Eibach Pro Kit and did you have to install an alignment kit? Also, where did you buy the parts?

BTW, I love the look of your car. The chrome you've added gives it that special touch without going overboard.

Thanks for the help. I may have more questions since I plan on doing many of the same mods to my car in the future.

Have Eibachs, 1 3/4" front and 2" rear. I have rubbed the front on a steep driveway and a high curb when I first had them installed. Have the same Eibachs on my wife's PT and my GT front is a little lower. Love the ride and the look the Eibachs give and I'm just careful of high driveways and high curbs when parking.....Didn't need the camber kit on either PT or GT. I know others have needed it. Some do, some don't.

general consensus is you should use camber adjustment. even a few degrees (which the prokit will impart on the front alignment) makes a bigg difference in the long haul, will help. The kit is 10 or 20 bucks for two bolts. The stock setup has two bolts that are splined but one need to be removed to put the camber correction bolt in. Just do it...

Check the H & R springs from Tire Rack. The drop is 1.3 " front and rear. H & R make OEM springs for BMW so they might be a good choice.

The front facia is lower on the GT because of the larger grill openings for the intercooler. With Eibachs on the PT and the GT the GT is only a 1/4" lower at the wheel openings. No big difference.
