Question Borla duals on GT?

Will the borla duals off my wrecked 01 work fine on my GT?

They should fit okay but Borla now recommends the 2.5" system for the turbo. I just spoke with them last week.

I'd like a custom 3 inch exhaust. Just need to find some good looking tips like Borla's.

AT&R in Fairplay SC makes a 3" for the turbo PT. They also have a 2 1/2". This system is as close as you can get to straight through with out being straight through. They use a Pit bull muffler. It is a single side system. I am getting ready to order but I cannot decide which to get. I will let you know when I get mine. Their web page is http://www.atrperformance.com/index....27ba644ec88668

Question exhaust system

PT GT,
Please post whatever you decide one and let us know how it sounds and runs!
My straight through muffler helped performance, but it is too loud inside the car. Need another solution.

Default Borlas

I had the Borla system on my 2001 Limited and they were great. Now on the turbo, it is not recommended because the system necks down at all its connections to the mufflers and to the tips. I tried my Borla's which I kept off the first PT and tried them on the Turbo. It was noticable that the cars performance was hurt. It felt like I was dragging a piano ! If you read Corky Bell's book called Maximum Boost, you will know that back pressure is the enemy of the Turbo. Corky is the guru of turbocharging and can be reached over the net. Go to a design that is made for turbo applications.......that Borla system isn't. I have the BTG and I am very happy with it. I purchased it from PT Tuning on the net. I hope this info helps !!

How can a 3 inch exhaust be made from a 2 1/2 inch pipe?
