Default Bought a real one, painted the toy

OK, so this is sort of odd for my first post here, but after spending a ton of time going through these forums I couldn't resist.

A couple of years ago my wife got me a PT Cruiser RC "toy", originally in a dark metallic green. The car is 11" long and about 4.5" high and the only manufacturers info I have is the "New Bright Industrial Co., Ltd. 2000" on the piece. It runs off a rechargable 6.0V battery pack with 4 AA's in the remote. The remote lets you handle the usual front/back and left/right stuff, plus three forward speeds, a horn, and a "lock" function which shuts of the "motor" and "locks" the car complete with a single beep of the horn. Sort of like locking your real car with the keyless remote.

Anyway, I bought my first real PT Cruiser on 12.30.03, a Turbo Limited Edition Platinum Series as shown in my sig. I just couldn't resist painting the toy to match the real deal, right down to the chrome on the door handles, fuel filler door and grille. The paint was a typical hobbyist paint I picked up at a local hobby shop, but it's a pretty good match for the real cars Graphite Metallic paint (not that it looks it in these pix, but you believe me. Right?).

Just thought I'd share.

Very cool looking. From the picture you took of it, it looks steel blue, my color. I've had a hard time finding any toys in my color. Have painted a couple myself so far. New Bright is well known for doing the PT in large scale and a variety of colors.
