Hey Bill , what Toys R Us did you have luck with?

Be forewarned, the White Lightnings are extremely tough, something like only 1% of each model is made as a WL so we're only taking a few hundred of each. Divide that by the number of TRU, Wal-Marts, Targets, KB, internet retailers etc. across the country and that should tell you why they go for crazy prices on ebay.

[Tell me about rarity, Mark.
We had 4 White Lightnings in the cases we ordered for Pops and sold 2 within hours. Only have 1 WL left, the Woody, and if it doesn't sell tonight, we will take it to MB.....Plus the few complete JL sets we have left in stock.
We have re-ordered more cases of the JLs, but they are now back-ordered, our distributor says.
Good luck, if ur on the hunt in retail stores for the JL Cruisers. Have not seen them yet in the Carolinas...

Found three of them today at Toys'R'Us in OKC, so they're getting farther into the world.

got the rest of the batch at a Super Target today - and a few extras.

regarding the "rubber" tires version - how to tell the difference? Are they the raised white letter tires that show up on some of the other Johnny Lightning cars?

And on the White Lightnings. I have a few of the Johnny Lightning "ornament" cranberry editions - the all have white interiors. Judging by the usual rarity I highly doubt all 4 of them I've found are white lightning. Does that particular car not have a special version?

Hey Monkeyboy,
All the White Lightnings (4) in the recent cases we received had gold spoke wheels & a white chassis.
I, too, was looking for white interiors, but apparently JL changed the WLs for the Cruisers.???
I could not tell the difference between a rubber tire & a plastic one either.after sifting thru about a hundred of them.. & all of the Jl ornaments we have shipped since last year (about 6 cases worth) had white ineriors, so I doubt those were WLs.
