Hi, my friend found a old mall and he found two Zip Zaps. I have the black Honda Civic and all of the upgrades ypu can get. They are sweet. In the front of the car there is a white piece, the suspension. You want to put in the one with the most holes in it. It doesn't make a difference, but anyway you have to just rip other one out and jam the other one in. I hope this helps!

It is a pain, but just pop the old one out, I used the small screw driver for removing the motor, and then snap the new one in, this may take a bit of fumbling if you have big fingers.. I dropped mine a few times before I got it in.....
and when it was all together... no difference except for the motor.... I even changed the tires and still didn't make a noticable difference but they are fun to play with.. I have both versions of the Cruiser and my son has one of the Mustangs (actually he has Sponge Bob on it right now)...
