Default New toy pt convertible (Ted's color)

Found new pt convertible 7 functions with interactive vocal phrases. Comes complete with luggage which fits in the hood and a cell phone which fits in the console which opens and closes. Colors are pink and a pretty turquoise green. Size is probably 1:10- is about 14 or 16 inches long. Comes in a pink box Toy State logo - has Road Ripper written on the tires. Barbie dolls will fit in it. Sorry no pics . Cost was 22.99 on sale for 19.99 at Ames. There were only 2 and I got em both. Actually bought the green one and talked myself out of the pink one because this massive collection is getting out of hand and this needs to stop. Got to the car and my husband said why don't you go back and get the pink one - you can always bring it back if you decide not to keep it - didn't take me long to sasha back in that place and plunk down my twenty dollar bill. Bring it back --RIGHT!!

I guess I'll have to make a phone call to my mother since we don't have any Ames stores here in Georgia.

Ted, No Ames here eather, they are closing ALL stores.

Ames will file a motion Wednesday asking a federal bankruptcy judge for permission to hold going-out-of-business sales at all 333 stores nationwide, including 21 in Connecticut, ctnow.com reported. The Web site did not say where the filing would be made.

Ames once made $4 billion a year. A liquidation would leave 22,000 employees without jobs, including 2,100 in Connecticut.

In a separate court filing Tuesday, Ames asked for an emergency hearing in which it would present a case to wind down the business "effective immediately."

"The Debtors have determined that winding down operations now will offer greater value to creditors by absorbing fewer ongoing losses," Ames' lawyers wrote.

The filing said the decision to liquidate the stores was made in consultation with the chain's creditors and lenders.

Ames filed for bankruptcy last August.

Ames officials did not immediately return calls.

The company was trying to emerge from bankruptcy by the end of the second quarter. The discount chain had gone through four rounds of store closings in the last several months.

Ames bought Hills Stores Co. of Massachusetts in 1998 and became the nation's fourth-largest discount retail chain behind Wal-Mart, Kmart and Target.

Economic analysts have said the Hills-related debt caused tough financial times for Ames.

The company has previously said the weak economy was taking a toll on its blue-collar core market.

Frank, I just found out that same information this morning when I checked out their website. I made sure to send my Mother an e-mail asking her to see if the Ames store by her had any of the PT's. She replied back saying that they had already closed the store by her. She's going to check one of the other Ames that's about an hour drive from her.
Ted, If they have a green one she'll pick it up for you.
