What mod are you doing to the car?? There is a law which states as long as the mod you do does not cause the problem you are having warrantee work for, they can not complain. Obviously if you put a turbo on and you blow a head gasket because of it they wont work on it, but if you change your exhaust and your alternator goes out, they should honor it, if not you have grounds to sue.

JD, i wouldn't worry about, i went to the dealership myself to find out how sticky they are and it's not a problem. This is in Canada, i can't see it being different in the U.S.

Putting on an EXHAUST only can void your warranty on the EXHAUST. Not on the car. Heck if that wasn't the case i'd be in big trouble...

Default Unsure of recent purchase due to news! LOOK

my major concern is that the car will run and perform poorly for a while until the computer figures out what is going on with the new exhaust and air filter. anyone else have this concern or expirience?

Hey that would mean that I can take mine in and complain how it rides a little stiffer since I put on my Eibach springs ?

Sorry just kidding, I believe all are correct. You can not have your warranty voided due to a unrelated change in your vehicle that has nothing to do with what you changed.

If you put in a million watt stereo system and your alternator goes out (Warranty does not cover your Alternator or any wires that are damaged)

You lower your car and mash your exhaust system going over a hump (Exhaust and related damage not covered)

You take off your rear wiper and put on one of those fake handles, only to have somebody break the glass trying to get the glass open (guess what window and related damage not covered)

As far as the car not figuring out how to run. I put on mine with only 100 miles on it and almost immediately I noticed a big difference in performance. It has only gotten better since then. Over 10,000 miles and NO problems...

Lest anyone of the hundreds who has purchased one of my PT Handles gets nervous: let me assure you that you will not break the glass pulling on, twisting, striking with a hammer, or punching the handle. The handle is monuted directly to the wiper motor which is mounted to the hatch and is surrounded by a heavy gasket and a heavy sleeve. I've tested every handle on my PT and have beaten on my handle for over a year...NO GLASS DAMAGE. I know Miss Scarlet was making a good point but I just want to reassure evryone. Thanks, Bill

It's MOUNTED to the wiper motor...anyway, I also have the exhaust sytem in question here and while I also noticed a performance and mileage improvement IMMEDIATELY, Borla states on its web site that you should give your vehicle a few hundred miles with any of their systems to reach optimum results. JD...do not sweat this modification, this system will last forever, is emissions legal and will not void your warranty.

True it did take a couple of hundred miles to fine tune the engine. As far as the back glass I am glad to hear it is that strong, I never really have looked at it that close...
