I am wanting to get some better, and bigger, tires for my Patriot Blue/Limited. Its got the 16"x6" rims and I can't afford to replace them too. I have decided that the best are the new Yokahoma AVS-db, the have really great specs and a lot of recommendations. I want to upgrade to the 225x50ZR16, which show as the same diameter and has the same revolutions as the stock 205X55WR16. Their just a bit wider, and the Yok site shows them fitting on 6"-8" rims. That makes them on the bottem end of the range. Any body done this or have an opinion if this would be a mistake?
Thanks for any advice Rick |

Thanks, that's what the guy at Discount Tires said. Just wanted a second opinion. They had to order them, the closest Yokahoma warehouse to Houston is in Arizona. How crazy is that! Supposed to be in today but with the Holiday Wednesday they may not make it till next week.

I did that in the course of sorting out my tire vibration problem. These LS Goodyears are junk! I had the 225/50's taken back off. They easily doubled the torque steer especially on rutted pavement. Also the side wall of the tire no longer comes close to lining up with the rim. I believe that the added sidewall flex contributed to the added torque steer.
