Default disc brake problems

Need help resolving an ongoing problem. I drive my Cruiser (5-speed) a lot, highway miles. At 15,000 miles, front brakes warped, dealer said "out of warranty"...had them turned....started again @ 20,000. Want to replace them but not w/ factory parts. Only aftermarket found so far is like $1500!!! Any suggestions...I feel the weight of the car is affecting whatever "off the shelf" parts that Chrysler is using....seems to be an issue of overheating. I own another Chrysler stick-shift car and it hasn't had any of these problems w/ brakes.

Do you stomp on the brak alot or push the brake pedal with your left foot and use your right foot for gas? Do you get stuck in a lot of stop-and-go freeway traffic? And is it the front discs that are warping or it the rear ones too?

In the ongoing effort to meet increasingly strict emission standards and higher CAFE requirements, components are being made lighter and lighter. In the brake disc and hub, this means they end up with less mass to dissipate the heat.

Contributing factors to disc warping are improper lug nut (or bolt) torque and improper tightening procedures.

As simple as this may sound, failing to follow the criss-cross (or star) tightening pattern and not torquing evenly and to the proper amount can lead to stresses that help warp these thinner, more flexible discs.

the car is a stick shift, so it's always right foot braking!! I have another Chrysler stick and no brake problems. The mileage I accumulate is highway miles, not much stop&go....I feel the issue is w/ the rotors and not me...I just need to find a replacement that is better than OEM...the warping is in the front rotors, the rears are fine.

The warping can come from 100 reasons. The most likely is, as Turbo said, a beefy tightening job! The slightest variance can really do damage. Believe it or not, accumulated dust and crud can cinge it up even worse! This happens with MANY newer systems.
