Default Installed my Volant yesterday

Great first impressions on the test drive. Seat-o-meter tells me there is defently more power. There is absolutly no surging now when taking it easy on the gas, on the full pedal run I was redlined before I knew it(my first time on the redline, I only have 650 miles on the clock). I am still waiting on my Borla hedder before I install my 2.5" system. I will keep you posted...G ;-)

Hi , I put a volant in awhile back and found one problem you might want to check . From inside the drivers side wheel well remove the little panel used to get to the headlight bulbs . you'll then see the intake tube on the volant that sticks thru the fender well . on mine the end of that tube was angled wrong and actually blocked alot of airflow due to being so close to the splash shield . The fix is easy . With the volant in place , and the intake tube pushed securely into the fender well , look at the end of the tube from inside the wheel well , where it comes thru the fender , draw a line on the tube as best you can right where it comes thru the fender , just use the edge of the hole in the fender as your guide . Remove the volant , with a hacksaw saw the tube off where you drew the line , re-install the volant and make sure the tube is in the fender hole . The volant is a great system , why they angled the tube that way is a mystery . Have a good day .

Not a dumb question, because I was just wondering the very same thing

The cooler and more efficent the air flows in, the more power you make. Think of it as the a/c in your house, with a dirty restrictive filter in your blower slows and becomes less efficent, when you put in a new efficent filter the a/c doesn't struggle for air as much and provides better airflow. I hope that helped...G
