What we did on the Ford F-150 was a single muffler which has two pipes coming off of it. They are both working pipes, not a dummy pipe and one that works. I am afraid I do not know alot about the exhaust system so I am relying on what my muffler guy tells me. We absolutely love the sound of the Magnaflow muffler...just a nice sound, not too loud. Will let you know when I get the muffler on the PT.

I have the Borla single exhaust on mine and I love it. When you floorboard it it sounds great, and when it shifts it sounds really cool. Once up to highway speed and no or little load the hum is very tolerable....
Ditto on my 5spd Ltd...My husband installed in it in under 1 hour...no problems...the sound is an hearty hum...not intrusive at all!

I had a custom cat back system installed on my cruiser using a magnaflow muffler with a 4in rolled crome tip. I really like the sound of the car now and it looks great too. Cost for the whole system installed was 230.00. Great price. Great system.

I ordered the Flowmaster dual setup after speaking to someone there about it. Supposed to ship next week and will take a week then to get here so if all goes well with that, I will have it on by Fourth of July. To look at the setup go to www.flowmaster.com. They have a dual and a single.
