Default Work-arounds, I luv 'em

That's what I like about this site, the spirit. Got a problem? Devise a work-around. That's what life's about...

I was at another site and the posting was about decorative plastic snap-on caps for a license frame mounting screws cracking when installed. Hmm, I just had a simmilar problem with shower door hardware. So I posted a response to warm the plastic caps in hot water before installing, makes 'em soft and pliable. I thought it was a reasonable work-around. I ended the post with "Maybe the manufacturer should include this tip with their instructions." Lo and behold came a reply to my post that "Maybe the manufacturer should make the caps the right size!" That kinda stung. I could have rattled on about how the caps and hardware weren't a precision thing, costs involved, etc. but it wasn't worth the time.

Good to be back. Great group.

I checked out the other sites again while PTE was on hiatus and I must say that they can be downright vicious to each other. Thats the one of the big reasons that I like this site, good group of friends!

I have to agree on the other sites comments, there certainly seems to be alot of snipes out there, PTE is full of people who appreciate other peoples MOD's and their questions, opinions

Yar a Great bunch (patting self on back)

The other sites deserve the snipers. Half of them are driving Hyundais anyway. Geesh Rick, and they say people from PA are rude?!
