My neighbor has the SRT4 & it sounds great. If you make the converson on your PT to the SRT system would you let me know how it works out & if it has the drone! I tried so may different systems that I`ve give up on finding something with out the drone other than stock.

The drone is mostly caused by the harmonics due to the length of the exhaust and diameter. Take a look under the srt4 and see how much extra length is on the srt exhaust.

I have to take some measurements but I would estimate that the front section (up to the rear axle) would be the same and could be hung pretty easily. The rear (spaghetti) section might have clearance problems.

I think that there is a lot more room under a neon than a cruiser. You could probably adapt it, or go custom with a similar design. I had mine done with 2.5" stainless with a transverse Magnaflow dual tip muffler.. I placed in where the spare tire would be and keep the spare in the trunk covered in a carpet match boot. I love the sound and what's better is that it doesn't drone. Nice mix of high perormance without the riceyness.
