with this car, single vs. dual is a question of cosmetics, esp with the n/a cruisers. I had a set of bassani's on my turbo, and liked the look of the tips. However, i decided to go with a more free flow exhaust instead.
Bassani's sound OEM with the baffles in. With them out, the tone is very deep. You should hear them (or any exhaust) before buying one. Expensive to. For an axleback system can cost 500.00 Consider BTG or Heartthrobs. I have heard nothing but good stuff about BTG pipes (via PT TUning) in terms of installation ease, quality and sound. Check out their site. I know a lot of people have them Rob

I don't believe there's any gain of duals over single. On a V-8, different story, but not on a 4-banger.
I admit I got the duals for looks.

I got the Bassani single. It looks cool and is just as functional without the added cost.

For bang for the buck I went with a Magnaflow muffler swap. Gives her a little growl before the Airaid does its thing and no higway drone. They make a sweet stainless catback too but the $500 price was a little much.

The PT Rod is for cruisin' cool and lookin' good and with the 5-speed and the "deep breathing" engine mods, it's snappy and responsive on acceleration...enough to be fun. The Ram HEMI is just pure power, neck-snapping power when you mash the go-pedal, which is fun, too. Kind of like chocolate and strawberry...I love 'em both. ![]()
