That is what I was thinking of doing, but it would interfere with the strut bar.

What noise? Would you get more noise if you did the same idea but ran from the engine side of the lower airbox forward to the space beside the rad? I think what causes the noise is the conical style filter element and because its not inclosed it just makes it worse. Remember the PT airbox has been engineered to be quiet, adding another intake source shouldn't have a large audible impact.

I have heard some K&N FIPK's & some others that people have kinda put together. SO FAR, I'm is still the quietest of the bunch & I'm sure I get pretty close to as much air flow as the others.

I just wanna get it COLDER! The way I see it is a modified version of MX-5's , but to do that might start getting alittle spendy $$$

We'll see... I'm still digging around looking for parts. If I come up with an idea, I'll post my results.

BTW, We are installing MNSHALE's GT intake manifold & bored TB this weekend!!! Should be interesting with his new DUAL EXHAUST!!!

I'll be driving through Northern Indiana in about 3 weeks. If you want, I can stop by your shop and we can do some quick temperature tests on it to see if I am doing anything good here.

I'll know in about 3 weeks. I'll be partying with MX-5's PT friends on my way home from Boston. I'll let you know what happens.
