I owe you an apology. I flew through the PTDIY too quickly and thought the filter was under the cowling. I've seen that somewhere and just jumped to the conclusion that this was the one. Sorry about that.

Your design looks great and definitely no worries of water ingestion.

Only one problem, that's where my ahooga horn is mounted.

Steve

What dia. pipe did you use? I increased my "snorkle" to 3 " going to the feder & I'm using a sotchbite pad for the "gasket". Its judto keep it form rubbing. I have the inlet within 1/4" of the fender opening. VERY LITTLE HOT AIR enters there from the rest of the engine compartment.

Now that I see the rest of your parts, it looks better in these pix than on the DIY site. HMMMM... got me thinking some more...

I forgot to ask, how is it held in place to the bottom of the air box? I did not notice anything to hold it in place. I guess I need to reread the article again.

The tube is 66mm ID electrical C/D
& all conections are friction fit
If they are to lose spray paint a coat of paint on then try the fit
Hope this helps

What kind of power increases have you notice? I know it will be nothing dramatic, mostly seat of the pants stuff. Any negatives? Increase sound?

Thanks, Bob

If you know how your car runs on a cool damp day then that`s what it feels like! As far as noise it`s not any louder than stock
