Haven't heard of anybody purchasing any of these yet (probably because of the price).:

NGK-Laser Platinum-PTR5A-13 Stock number 2467 $12.35 each http://www.clubplug.net/retail_laser_ngk.html

DENSO-Iridium-PT16VR13

Bosch # HR7MPP

Part numbers and info taken from an earlier post.

You do know there are Champion platinum plugs, right?
I have the Champion Platiunum plugs and Crane wires, and engine hasn't missed a beat since, now at 55,000+ miles.

Hold on the Denso plugs for now !!

Here is a picture of a stock plug and a Denso, lined up at the seating plane, (where the plugs seal against the taper in the head) and a cut-away, or sectional view of the problem with the Denso plugs. They are just made too short, from the seat to the top of the hex, for the PT head, GT or SRT-4!

I have sent this info to the rep to review. Even if you grind a socket to reach the hex part of the plug, that is down in the hole, ... the spark plug boot, ... still, ... does not come down far enough to reach the top of the plug, ... before it bottoms out on the valvecover! ... making the spark jump from the boot to the top of the Denso plug !! NOT GOOD AT ALL !!

... making the steel body of the plug about .200" inch longer below the hex, would solve both problems.

I don't see a fix without Denso re-designinging the plug.

.... somebody else thought this was "just a Neon !!

Bob

I don't particularly care for champion plugs , but have searched for weeks for a replacement without success. I have changed my plugs to Champion single platinum plugs that are 1 heat range colder than stock. I have gapped these plugs @.042. Thet have been in for a month now and have performed flawlessly. I currently run stage 2 boost @ 13.5 to 14 psi w/a peak @ 16psi. I have had NO high rpm miss at all or a misfire of any kind for that matter. The champion plug# is 3032, and the plug code is RE10PMC5. I have read on other boards that some are using the champion double platinum plugs as well. I am using the single platinum on the recommendation of a mechanic that now owns a speed shop. BTW I have since added 10mm magnecore wires, and a Screamin Demon High Output Coil. All still works fine and no misses at all, so I thought that I would share this information. Thats my 2 cents.
