Hey All,
I posted this on another forum, but am new to this one. I know that there are a ton of knowledgeable folks out here, so I'm hoping you may be able to help me with my problem: I was driving using the auto-stick yesterday, and I felt the car hiccuping and lunging forward when I was in 2nd gear. After a few minutes, I felt it happening in 3rd gear as well. I took it out of autostick and just put it in drive, it was okay for a few minutes. Then, I was sitting at a red light, and I could feel the engine lunging while I was stopped. Almost like if I hadn't had my foot hard on the brake, it would have just jumped forward. Anyone experience something like this before? I don't necessarily think it's an autostick issue, but seemed to be more frequent when I was using the autostick. I didn't get any warning lights go on in the dash, though. And this morning, on my drive in to work, it happened once in 45 minutes, where yesterday it happened like 9-10 times in a half hour. Take it to the dealer? This sucks! ![]()

I wouldn't want to take it to the dealer until I felt that the computer would have set a code. I've heard that it can set codes that don't show up on the numeric display on the dash. This sounds like a tank of bad fuel, to me. How many miles do you have? If you have high mileage, you could try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner combined with a fresh tank of fuel from a known-good pump.
If the computer were setting codes that you could see, I would look into them and find out what they pertain to. |

I just took it over 7,000 miles on the way back from the Carlisle show. My dealer told me the earliest they can look at it is Monday, so we'll see what happens between now and then. This morning, on the way into work, it only happened a few times, within the first few minutes the car had been started, and only when it was idling at either a stop sign or or traffic light.
Thanks for the help guys!
