Looks like they are aluminized steel with a stainless tip. the aluminized steel is really pretty good. My Flowmaster 60 series single muffler is aluminized and I dont' see any visible rust and it's been on since Nov 2000.

Just ordered the dual set-up from JC Whitney after a rousing recommendation from a friend. Has anyone had any problem with the fit around the spare tire?

Good choice! When installed you will have a wing nut installed on one hanger to release one side for access to the spare. Not a problem unless you fix flats on a regular basis. You wouldn't happen to carry your sticks on top of that Woody to find our infrequent Florida surf?

Not a chance Crush. My wife thinks I'm going through my third or fourth childhood as it is. Thanks for the info.
