Default Just did 2 mods....

Just put on both the K&N FIPK and the Freedom Design Strut Bar... Both go on very easy ... look good... seem to make a difference.. will know more later.

Also tried the Hood Lift kit from Wyckoff/Chrysler.. but it SUCKS.. angles seem wrong.. hood didn't close right... things kept popping off and made odd noises when lifting....

Yanked them off until I can come up with a better way of mounting them.

Good choices on the K&N and strut bar - they were my first mods as well.

For the hood struts, I got them from Blane (has his own section in the forum). Easy guy to deal with and got them painted to match body color. If you decide to return the Wyckoff items (or can pawn them off on someone else) get Blane's.

Kat, with everything you have done to your Cruiser, the hood struts you could probably put them on with your eyes shut Yes, they are very easy to put on plus you can get them in the color of your choice!

LOL Thanks dad & Redman! I love the look of them, and don't have anything fancy on my hood, so no reason for Pineapple's hood (YET). I think these will be at the top of my list!

Oh and YES...redman, you did say that!

yes, being mechanically-declined it took me longer than most but I didn't want to screw it up. When I ordered mine Blane said it was one of the first of his "next generation" kits. In addition to utilizing some of the existing PT hardware it also has 3M tape, which means no drilling required.

I ordered them painted to match my PT. It was worth a few extra $$ since I don't paint well either.

3M TAPE? For the hood?? Hmmm ok, how're they working?

The results are up and down . . .
sorry, couldn't resist

here's the strut portion on the hood - you can see the tape squished just a bit (been on about 7 months now)
