Look at your motor.
You'll see about 3 feet of plastic tubes for the air to go from the air filter to the motor.
That 'thingy' adds about 1 inch to the aforementioned 3 feet.

Ohhhh...Ahhhh...... !!!!!!

Now it's 3ft 1in of air tubes.

The only way I can think that it will make you faster is if you pay for it in pennies. That should take about 50lbs off the wieght of the PT. 50lbs less weight will make the PT a little faster.

If anyone wants to bring one for a few real dyno runs, I'll be glad to attend.

In the PT's case, .... the only thing that is traveling through the manifold is air, ..... no fuel, ... just air.

The air also goes through a couple of different shaped chambers on its way to the engine, on the PT's 2.4 engine.
The first change that occures is right after the TB, ... the air is forced to split into two columbs, ... one feeding the # 3 & 4 cylinders and one feeding the # 1 & 2 cylinders, (it appears), ... but WAIT !!! ... the air is dumped into a plenum area, (open triangular shaped box) and then is separated again into the four runners ... that end up going to the head.

Right at the last instant, before the dry air enters the chamber, ... the fuel injector for EACH cylinder, ... squirts fuel into the open valve pocket, ... which shoots into the cylinder!!

There is no mixing of air and fuel, .... nor benifit there of, ... casued, induced, assisted coaxed or otherwise initiated by the "spacer".
IT DOES N O T H I N G !! for the modern "port-injected" engine.

It could swirl its way to some minor mixing improvements, on an old dirty carbureted engine with a badly designed intake manifold. (that is ALL the credit I can offer these money/sucking-pieces of crap!)

Get a nice set of Nails, ... or some chew toys for your favorite pet!

You will get exactly the same performance improvement from your PT, from those, .... as you will from any of those spacer thingies.

... The only power from these things is through the "POWER OF SUGGESTION" .... and NOT wanting to admit to your self or anyone else, ... that you've been TAKEN, ..... again!

You will feel better, about yourself, ... if you buy the other stuff!

Bob
You know Bob, I have one on the '01 and my gas mpg went up 3 mpg. That's no puppy poop. When the '01 was mine I kept gas records from the time it was new, before and after I installed the spacer. Now the wife has the '01 and does and it's still true. The mpg is still up 3 mpg. I did not notice any power increase so that claim is BS.

I did see about a 1-2 mpg increase myself.

Ok so a little mpg (possibly) increase, so is it worth the cost?

AND...will it HURT the car at all, warranty or anything?
