Default Interested in 1-2 shift mod (wire cut)

Ok. I have researched this wire cut on do-it-yourself and i'm a little nervous. First off I understand its reversable. Does anybody no if Chrysler allows this mod without voiding warrenty? Where is the best place to access this wire? Will it damage the transmission in the long run? Thanks for any advice.

MX-5... help the guy out! It is easy to do & to put back. Most of us with auto trannies have done it by now.

Like any other mod, if it causes the failure, it won't be covered. They can't "void the warranty", they can only refuse to make the repair under the warranty if the mod caused the failure. DAM THE WARRANTY, FULL SPEED AHEAD!
