A fellow in Tennessee has gone through three clutches, running my stuff, (turbo, engine and so forth). His car is a late 2002 PT. They fornd that the factory hydraulic setup was not releasing all the way. His dealer replaced the complete clutch hyd system with an updated version, (TSB on it I think). The new factory hydr. set-up was all different. That dash-pot / dampener POS has been eliminated!!! So any one with a five speed PT needs to push for this updated hydraulic setup!!!

]He had a ClutchMasters, SPEC and a Centerforce setups on there and is going back with the Clutchmasters stage 5 unit this time. ... I'll keep you posted on how it goes. These turbo motors are making almost 350 ft lbs of torque in street trim!!!!!!

Our HP is still limited until we get around the factory computer!!

Weird issues with the clutch slipping! On my Dyno day I had almost no slippage at all, and that was with Over 350 ft/lbs of Torque!
I have the Stage 4 Clutchmasters as well, with the aluminum flywheel...
Actually, maybee the reason I didn't have clutch slip, was that I had crummy tires on - maybee they were slipping a bit... Hmmmm

Keep it comin!

Brad

Henry Fry, ( http://www.frysurfboards.com ) ... has a Haltech unit he is working with to try to get an engine management system to work "along side the stock ECU. He has had some issues, but says he is working them out.

On Sat. June 14th I went to Dyno day sponsered by MX-5. My best results were 253.2 HP and 366.2 Torque on a 75 Hp NOS jet. On just the motor I got 191.7 HP and 249.8 Torque. I now have the Stage 1 upgrade on order and will test again after it's installed.
