Default stock class drag info

You experienced draggers maybe can tell the rest of us what is needed to pass NHRA tech inspection, other than an approved helmet (later than what date?)

Thanx from those not wanting to be left as a spectator cause they forgot to install an engine kill switch or somesuch.

I would go to the nhra.com or ihra.com they will let you know all the things you'll need to have and know about the greatest kind of racing there is .

There is really nothing too special required. While some tracks might require a helmet no matter what speeds you run, most use the following specs taken from rules used at The Heartland Dragstrip in Kansas:

From the rulebook:

Proper clothing must be worn in restricted areas at all times. (Drivers must wear long pants, sleeved shirts & toed shoes to race) (Crews must wear sleeved shirts & toed shoes). I really hate the long pants part as I pretty much wear shorts year around.

For 13.99 or quicker cars, the driver must wear a helmet meeting SNELL 90, 95 or SFI 31.1, 31.2, 41.1 or 41.2 specs.

Seat belt mandatory in all cars, SFI 16.1 highly recommended. No matter what is used it must be installed correctly.

Just go racing & enjoy!
