Default I made the 14 second club!

Well, it took a while, but I finally got to a 1/4 mile strip. It's only 165 miles from my house, so I don't think I'll going again too soon!

My best run was:
60 ft: 2.215 sec
1/8 ET: 9.523
1/8 MPH: 73.48
1/4 ET: 14.831
1/4 MPH: 94.09

Boost was at 13 lbs, temp was 88 degrees, AutoStick, trac-cont off, approx half-throttle at launch, only rear seats out. This was after a lengthy cool down, which I have found really suits the turbo. The second run was 14.95 @ 93.35 and each succeeding run got a little slower. It "settled" in at 15.2 @ 91.5 for most of the rest of the night. Next step is to add a BOV and a cooler thermostat. Maybe I can keep it in the 14s then!

Even then, probably not! From what I've gathered, a helmet's not needed if you're under 100 mph at the end of the track!

DAVE! Nice goin' man!

Thanks for the kudos!

I have a custom exhaust with 3" high flow cat to a 3" center pipe into a 3" in/out glass pack. From there it Ys out to two 2-1/4" pipes to just in front of the rear wheels. I have a custom cold air intake fed through the cowl, into the air box, and then to the turbo. It is made with all 2-1/2" tubing, no restrictions. I am currently using the Hallman ES manual boost controller, but am thinking about going to the Greddy or Apexi electronic boost controller for better control and power. I still need to add a real BOV and changing to a 160-degree thermostat is a must!

Other changes in the works are either replacing the motor mounts with solid style or getting the Rex inserts to cut down on engine movement. A high stall hi-perf torque convertor would be really nice, but I"m not sure how that would affect daily operations as this is my only car.

Oh, but what a car!!

P.S. Anyone using street drag radials yet? That may be next as well.
