Interesting, I wonder what the trade in value is one my '01 TE PT, I only have about 11k miles on it...., that + the 5k or so allocated for a s/c install and other work, it just might be worth looking into.
I'm on the east coast (NYC) and am leaning heavily toward a s/c as apposed to a turbo. There seems to be a lot less work necessary on the engine. I'm not really interested in going over 215hp, unless I hit the lottery or my July bonus is way over what I expect it to be (4K). So for a one time 4-5k investment I think a s/c is the way to go if only for the reduced installation costs and other upgrades. I will call the dealership on Monday just to get an idea of what a GT will cost me.

GR8FLPT,
No, my engine is completely stock. I did go with the Taylor Cable Wires and Ignition Solutions booster + a hedder. I've got to believe I'm in the 180-190 hp range...don't know for sure. The last race engine I built was 40+ years ago so I don't know nothing about todays engines nor do I own tools anymore. PT-Tuning convinced to...just enjoy the ride! Makes sense to me!

Thanks Pink, So I gather you added header & exhaust. Then topped it off with the SC. Do you like it? or wish you had more? I have a turbo intake & bored TB coming! that should help a weee bit for now
Been "talking" to BOB Trying to figure out somthing. Wife says I could "upgrade" to GT but I have to come up with $$$$ on my own. Well at least she didn't say no!

GR8FLPT,
Naturally, you always want more horse power but you reach a point where you have to weigh the costs vs performance gains. Some guys just enjoy working on their cars...I don't...been there and done that! I think the Whipple is a good bolt on product...worth the expense in my opinion but I'm certain you can find those who would disagree. I have driven GT's...very nice indeed. Perhaps, my next vehicle will be one (?). PTPink
