Default Oh .. My ... God !!

Djife has been here from NY since Wed. and we finally got to finish his Hahn Turbo car up. He did the install over a year ago and has been having fun at 6-8 psi.

Today, after doing the GT intake and VC install, water cooling the turbo, putting on the Crane ign, w / boost retard and the GReedy boost controller, ... some fuel management adjustments, we went out for a test and tune. He has a complete 3" exhaust system too! ... as well as a huge front mount IC and big front fascia, .. like mine.

This thing R O C K S !!!!! 18 PSI boost!!! WOW, ..... it is so fast!

More later! I got to go right now! ....

COOL--------- I can't imagine 18# boost. I'm only running 10 right now. Guess I'll tweek it to 12 tomorrow.
That car must be wild to say the least.

He better be careful on the way home. I-64 and I-95 is LOADED with cops, driving Trans-ams, Mustang GTs, all kinds of stuff.

I've heard they won't bother you if you keep it under 80mph

I just came back from taking him back to the motel and returning his rental car. I think we have found the boost where the Clutchmasters stage 4 needs to go to 5!! We were able to let it EAT in 3rd and 4th and it wouldn't hold solid in 4th, shifting fast at 6000, ... from 3rd to 4th. It grabbed, .... but it took its time doing it. That was a solid 18+ on boost!

He had a 3" down pipe made when he put his kit in and used one of those big 3" flex pipes that look like braded hose, so his is 3" all the way back.

This thing gets a KNUT, ... at 4000 and hits the rev limiter before you can blink!!! ... even in 3rd.

This car needs a clutch and the rev limit raised to 8000!!

Djife and I are THRILLED with the out come.

What a week, ... it was a blast!!

**NOTE: I am doing this work full time now, .... so I can build yours, ... or I can build mine for you.

I want to do a 5.7 Hemi in a Cruiser for someone!! That would be fun.

Another idea is to do a 400 HP 2.6 Chry engine in a Miata!
With the torque this motor makes, ... that would be a bas a$$ street fighter!! (I have the RWD bellhousing already)

BOB

HE HAS THE SAME HUGE IC THAT MY CAR DOES, THAT'S WHY IT CAN GET AWAY WITH SO MUCH BOOST!! BIG IC = MORE BOOST FROM TURBO WITHOUT DETONATION !!

HE'S MOVING THE BATTREY TO THE BACK AND DOING A BIGGER FILTER DOWN NEAR THE FRESH AIR HOLE, WHEN HE GETS HOME !!

PORTING HELPS A TON ON THESE ENGINES TOO !!

I'M TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW, .... THERE IS DEFINATLY SOMETHING IN THE WATER AROUND HERE !!!

Hey Now!!! Let's get some #'s on this puppy so we know what to shoot for. Please share any fuel management tips.
I haven't had time to play. Crazy work, and getting married next weekend. After that, it is down to some serious business!
Bob I will have a parts order coming into you in the next few days. Gotta spend some of my money before it becomes OUR money and the HAMMER comes down.

what is the vc install, ???

any hints on how you hooked up the water cooling,

which boost control model did you use,

what kind of adjustments did you make to run that high,

any idea of what the intake temp is on yours/his, with the huge intercooler
would be nice for a base line on mine,

what is the vc install, ??? ...( V alve C over)

any hints on how you hooked up the water cooling, ... (2- 45 degree AN fittings, some high temp hose, two special "T"s with 5/8 X 3/8 X 5/8 barbs, clamps, ... tie into the heater lines that run right by the turbo.)

which boost control model did you use, (Profec B)

what kind of adjustments did you make to run that high, .... (years of experience and knowing how to tune, being carefull, ... going up in stages, .... making sure the engine is "BUILT" before trying it!) .... following instructions!

any idea of what the intake temp is on yours/his, with the huge intercooler
(@ 14 PSI the charge temp at the turbo was 285F, ... the temp at the TB was 114F)

would be nice for a base line on mine, .... (did you get your AUX fuel pump to work yet? .... you drove it an awful long time, with no extra fuel pressure!!!!) Page 29 of the Hahn instruction clearly tells you where the fuel pressures MUST be on the road test proceedure, ... as well as what to look for if the fuel pressure is "not" at the 60 to 90 levels REQUIRED!!! ... I still can't figure out how or why, ... you drove the car for weeks, ... with insufficient fuel pressure, .... risking your engine!! Yet it tells you to look for a blown fuse at the AUX pump, ... right in the instructions!

Be careful, ..... DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!! .....

... Bob

Don't worry I won't!
Someday when my engine goes south, I'll have you work something up for me, not quite that level tho.
