^^^^Like he said. The Converter regulates the back pressure so with or with out the mufler it wont harm it.

Take the SRT-4 for example it doesnt have a mufler it is stright pipe with some tips. And no there not that loud my pt with stright pipes is about 2x's louder then the muflerless tubro 2.4. So I would say any mufler you do it would just make the sound a little diffrent but wont hamper the performance much if any. Ofcourse im not an expert on this stuff maybe you should email Bstrockhom (sp) he should know more about this more then me.

Has anybody put Boral on there GT yet. I plan on getting a turbo GT or DC2 and want to put my Borla duals on it?

I took th emuffler off of my gt and npticed a HUGE gain in performance. It's mostly in the lower end torque, but I could certainly roll some tires out alot longer with that mffler gone.

How much louder is it without it?

I had an original pt with the borla 2.5 cat back exhaust, i took it off and put it on the new GT. But the intermidiate pipe is not needed cuz stock on the GT is 2.5", so u only ned the muffler and other tip.

It's louder......but it's not like redneck loud. I'm sure that the older crew wouldn't want to put up with the noise generated.

So let's see the numbers, not this Feely/Schmeely stuff. You're trailer says you live life 1/4 mile at a time. Show us.

My bone stock DC-II, sans rear seats, went a best of 15.129 seconds with best speed of 93.55 mph in two passes.
