To put it all togather ........... The TB is not the bottleneck in the PT intake. So making it bigger does not improve it worth the money. Volume alone is not what the motor wants. there is a ballence betwen Volume and velosity for the air to be used efficently.

I'm not worried about the warranty. Well I souldn't say that. DC wants you to by & use thier products & services. Technically, if you don't bring back your car to the dealer for every little thing you viod the warranty. It mostly comes down to how anal your dealer is.
Foruntanly, I have had very good luck with my car. I do know someone who seems to have bought a lemon, she nothing good to say about her cruzer. She can't wait to get out of her lease & buy a honda or nissian

But then, I also know how she drives.

Maybe its just "snake oil" but then I like being bitten by the mod bug
Do you mean just add a header, and forget the Throttle Body?

Not using the bored TB seems to be the concensus.

Thanks to all!!!

If you drive an auto the header will help with the hiccup. I Like like what its done for my ride. Also makes the exhaust note a tad deeper

Actually if you never take your car to a dealer as long as the required maintenance is done and you have receipts your warranty will be honored. If you read my post you will see I said Chrysler approved fluids They don't have to be made by Chrysler just meet their specifications and most of these so called wonder fluids don't meet anybody specsifications. The same thing would happen if you owned a Ford or Chev. Use the right stuff or else.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I trust my Custom Cruizer mechanic to not steer me wrong. He would certainly not want to loose a whole bunch of business if he was wrong.
I did a lot of checking before I made the decission to go the way I did. I can't afford to be wrong. I do know how the car felt before & after I switched. It certainly feels & runs better. I can't prove it, but like I said I drive it everyday & I know while I'm driving if something feels right or not.

Anyway back to the post. So if the turbo intake was added, then the bored out TB would make sense? If I got it right, the bottle neck at in the intake manifold design. Then adding the header, exhaust & cold air would be even better use. more air in more air out. Or should I say more free flowing air in & out.
