Cool hedman 4-2-1 installed

I got the hedman 4-2-1 hedder installed with all the factory shields back on also.

It was not that bad, hardest part was removing old hedder.
the http://www.ptdoityourself.net/ptjbaheaderguide.html guide was a BIG help!!!

If you follow it you should have little problems. Some pushing, pulling, bending & @#$%@*&% are whats gonna get it done. Make sure you check all your hoses top & bottom before you start car, I had no brakes & rough idle at 1st...
Turned out we knocked a vacuum line off.

I'll let you all know what I think after the snow melts a bit (just got 6 " last night)

took about 4.5 hours. Special thanks to Rich & Ted for helping me out. Next will be Volant air intake

It doesn't seem any louder just seems to have a deeper tone

Yes! The car seems to breath better. less staggering on an auto tranny. The tone is cool too! Not louder, just a little deeper.

I can't say how it would be with stock exhaust, I have been adding a piece at a time as I can afford it. So far the air stream is:

Modifed stock air box to 3" opening
bola dropin filter (like K&N)
removed white air coupler inside upper box
poweraid TSB
hedman hedder
BTG dual exhaust

each piece seems to add a little as I improved things. It may be subjected, so I'm gonna drive a stock PT soon & compare. BUt anyway I like it.

Sounds great except for that power aid spacer.
My PT lost 4 HP at the wheels on the dyno when we put it on

I can't prove in it with or without. I haven't dyno'ed mine. I should have waited to install it but I was in the mod mood after putting in the hedder.

I might take it out to see if theres any change but then again...

which? hedman, poweraid, dual's, dropin, tbs...
I theory it shouldn't. it all depends on the dealership form what I have heard. Most of my work is done by a custom shop anyway.

If you didn't know what to look for, you couldn't tell its in there with the factory heat shields installed.
Personally, I think its my best mod to date (well I can't forget about my modded air box ) I would have voted the duals as best but I didn't help put them on & I really wanted the side exhaust kit instead.

Now I'm looking at lowering springs... guess it's time for a poll.

HI GR8FLPT,

WHEN YOU PUT THE OEM HEAT SHIELD BACK IN, DID YOU JUST BOLT THE TWO PIECES TOGETHER. WAS IT LOOSE, AND RATTLING , OR DID YOU DO SOMTHING ELSE TO HELP SECURE IT?
