Default High flow cat

I am interested in an exhaust system and was looking at the Wyckoff Chrysler site and found this:

Features T-304 Aircraft Quality Stainless Steel 2-1/4" Mandrel-bent Tubing, TIG Welded Catalyst Body. Direct bolt up to stock or any PT-Tuning Cat/Back system.

For sale as replacement for a damaged or failed catalyst only.

Part shown polished—which is an extra cost option available when ordering. Requires extra 10-14 day lead time.

High-Flow Replacement Catalyst PT1022BTGRegular price: $366.67Sale price: $330.00

All cars seem to have the cat as the main restriction. I have a GT and do not want to remove it, as I want to keep my warranty in force. I believe the simplest way to increase the power is to change this and not the rest of the exhaust.
I do like the Borla 2 tip exhaust, but wondered how it would look coming out the stock location, I like the look and no cutting, I believe.

Looking for help on both these matters. Oh, my stock cat is damaged or has failed, I think...............

Myths about Cats, Back in the day (and present day Fords) used a bead type system for Cats. the beads inside the cat would do the chemical reaction that makes water and Carbon Dioxide. Now many manufacturers use a bed type, which is very none restrictive. Ive found that the guys who replace cats for power end up being unpleased with the result. While it is a bit less restrictive it is not enough to warrant the money, the time and the hassle of finding someone to do it (or your own time to install).
Save your money and put it elsewhere in the car to make the same if not better gains.

It is worth it if you are running BIG boost. MY factory cat is a HUGE restriction right now.

For the average PT'er, it is not worth it unless yours is broken.
