you may want to check out a company called dubsport in the UK as they do a LOT of dual engine conversions in VW golfs and rabbits.
http://www.dubsport.com/
http://www.dubsport.com/projects.asp some of their conversions on that link. It's a fairly common thing going on right now, mainly in the UK though.. Over there I know a twin engine bug being built, twin engine golf, twin engine caddy that was built over here, the tiburon (US again) *very nice guy whom owns it, if you ever get the chance/oprotunity to talk to him, DO IT. VERY knowledagable on the subject, as are dubsport. Great guys at the shop!!

I think your speaking about the twin engine tiburon setup, correct?
Ran like 10.90s on street tires?
EIther way keep us updated and best of luck to you.

How come when I come up with an idea so far out from what exists thus far, it gets snubbed?

Joem, ... it was Brads engine I was referring to! His hp at the flywheel was over 300. .. or 258 whp. We havent even tuned his setup yet! .. He will be down here next week and we plan to put the squeeze on those sleeping horses!!

I said "I", ... only because I ported, machined, balanced, blueprinted and built the engine. ... my mistake!?

Thanks! ... Bob

Bob,

It WILL work rather well. Somewhere in New England is a dual engined Dodge Rampage. It has dual 175hp Turbo-II engines. I just did a search for it, and I didn't find anything on it. The original "King of Bleeds", the late Gus Mahon, knew the owner. He loved the idea and wanted to help the owner make some more power out of each engine. Gus intended eventually to go with a dual engine setup in his minivan.

Let me keep looking, and I'll let you know if I find something on the Rampage.

To those that don't know about Gus, here is his website: www.gusmahon.org

How about an Indy Maxx water block engine (133lbs block)sideways in the back with a Tornado chain drive sending the power to the front where the gear box (s) can direct the power fore and aft...

There is a sideways Hemi in a Harley in this monthes Mopar Collectors Guide with the Tornado setup for drive.

if you type an "x" too close to one of these "( " it makes one of these

your main goal is to have more acceleration,
,

switch the rear set up to a full electric ac motor with the same trans mission set up, , or something else
you can easily get 300 hp form a ac motor on short burst, and still retain driveablity,
, you wouldnt need a whole extra pcm,
and a whole heck of a lot less heat, and no cooling problems,
, heres some places to check it out,
ev
ev 2

dozmo

great parts,

ev drag raceing

I would question the weight of a 300hp electric motor, even an ac would be real heavy wouldn't it?

Thanks, Bob. Lots of us are interested in the PT engine horsepower race. Now that Brad's achieved over 300HP at the engine, he broke that barrier! Now, for a crack at 350HP...400HP...

With a little more "control", ... on the engine fuel and ignition, the right combonation should produce 350 HP easy on his engine.

His fuel curve went almost dead rich on the dyno run he made and that can't make power up top! (I believe because it was starving for air, with the stock intake).

Thanks! ... Bob
