ITS BEEN ABOUT 5 DAYS SINCE THE HEADMAN 4-2-1 HEADER WAS PUT IN. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I HAVE NOTICED AN IMPROVEMENT IN LOW AND MID RPM ACCELERATION, NO HESITATION BETWEEN GEARS. HAVE NOT FILLED UP YET SO CAN TELL ABOUT MPG .

Let us know about the MPG. I will assume that it will drop only because you can't have both power and low MPG.

Not true, the 405 HP Z06 Vette is rated at 19 City, 28 Highway.

Noticed the same thing, extra oomph at low to mid range and peppy response after having my JBA installed.

I think what he meant was, if the power is there you tend to use it, therefore gas mileage drops. If I had a Z06 Vette, I would probably get 12 mpg in the city.

ACTUALLY MPG SHOULD IMPROVE, IN MORE UNRESTICTED SYSTEM. @ 2500 RPM I A'M GETTING 67MPH , BEFORE I WAS GETTING ONLY AROUND 64MPH @ 2500 RPM

That is impossible since you have not changed any gear ratio's or the final drive ratio. NO engine mod can change the relationship between RPM and SPEED. Simple as that.
To have the change you mentioned, you would have had to altered the final drive, either by changing the gears or perhaps an different tire diameter.

Brad is right. We went round and round last year on this same exact subject and I thought it was doing the same thing but it can not. How can I explain it? Its the "sensation" or seat of pants thing it makes you think there is a change. But it does add torque to the lower end and actually though out the range in a few places. The RPM and SPEED thing is just a clever Jedi mind trick.

Did you replace the heat shield?

&... is that a auto or manual tranny?

You need to replace the heat shield or eventually you will fry your alternator and wires.
