It's not so much the money as it is the integrity of the company that we are doing business with. If integrity is not important, then I agree, forget it. If being taken advantage of is ok, then yeah, forget it. If you don't mind going through something like this with your next DC auto, then for sure foget it. But if these things are important to you or whoever eles is listening, then there comes a time when you need to speak up and be counted. By the way, my dealer wanted $520 to install a DC rear sway bar in my GT. That's about 2% of the sticker price.

Don't get me wrong.. I'm plenty pissed that the bar was not installed. Other Thread. And I did the research and have the proof that one was to be installed. From DC media archives, window sticker, service manual pages, photos to 2003 part numbers. But when it came right down to it. I ended up putting on a stock bar for $110.

I just can't see getting all pissed off at the dealer. I asked them if they would put it on and they said no. The guys at my dealer are pretty cool and I know they did not make the decision. So I choose to save my good relationship with the dealer until I really need it.

I get set prices on cars and 20% or more off parts just by walking through the door. (I know because I have the parts list) For me that is pretty important.

Yes, I understand it comes down to principle and there is a time to stand up and be counted.

I make sure every survey that I get states that I'm not happy about the missing sway bar. But I'm not upset to the point of putting up a web page, or driving my car around with slanderous comments on my windows. (like the chrome-clad guy)

I installed my addco aftermarket sways (front/rear matched set) , today. Al, you are right that damn nut on the rear axle for holding the cushons is a bear. I probably made worse on myself as I used a nylock nut instead of a conventional one ,lol ! Won"t be able to really test the cornering improvements right away 'cuz we just got slammed with about 5 inches of snow . I still need to get my strutbar installed, possibly this weekend...... Also the so called "bar " in the rear axle isn't a bar..... @ least in my gt it's a hollow steel tube !

I really don't see how a "upgraded bar" inside the axle could help with the side to side motion of the body since it does not connect directly to the body of the car. Maybe if the axle was made out of rubber..

FlashBK2, Wow! You used a nylock nut? I can't imagine how much of a pain that must have been. My original plan was to use a lock washer with the standard nut... but that idea went out the window when I could barely get the bolt to thread. I ended up just wrenching on it till it was tight sorta figuring if it worked itself loose then I'll throw some Loctite on it..

I hope you get to try it soon! You may want to try it without the strut bar, just so you can feel the difference.

I figure it will only take a two turn test drive.. The first turn you'll wonder what happened and the second to make sure you wern't dreaming.

What did you use to hold the nylock nut to keep it from spinning?

I jammed a large square shank screwdriver after I got it started I couldn't get 17 mm open-end wrench on it, actually broke one screwdriver...... . Oh and another aside you know the 2 brackets that hold the cushion .....I ordered 2 of each half well I got 16 of of pn 4656927aa. I was only charged $3.68 but got 16 of them...dealer said if they took them back they'd chuck them rather then mess up their inventory so I have 14 more....

Wow! You have 14 sets? Very kewl.. That was a great deal..

First I was trying to think if it would be possible to hook up two sway bars in the rear.. but that would probably suck.. but the second idea is to use them for neon holders instead of those cheesy plastic brackets.
