Default Anyone using Kumho Ecsta 712s?

I just got some Kumho Ecsta 712 205/55/16 performance tires for the P.T. I bought them on- line and haven't had a chance to get them mounted yet (will do this weekend).

If you have them on your PT, what do you think of them? How about treadwear? handling?

Barry

Bought a set of Kuhmo ECSTA Supra 712's last October, size 235/45/17. Noticed big difference in handling, slightest turn of steering wheel results in immediate response (sorta like a go cart). They also grab better when accelerating, I now barely get a chirp when hitting 2nd gear. You WILL hear some noise from the tires when cruising, but nothing drastic. Have no idea about tread wear as I only have 300 miles on them. And they are definitley not recommended for driving in snow.
Enjoy!

Thanks Tom Cat,

We don't get much snow in our State (Oklahoma). At most only a few days a year, and most of that time it doesn't stick.

Yep. I've been running them for about 32K miles ( 2+ years). I love the styling, the wet weather traction kicks A$$, and the treadwear is pretty good, but they do seem to wear fast. I'll need new ones soon. But, I kinda expected that with sticky tires!
Overall I would go out & buy them again ( and plan to)!

Question

Tomcat and Rachel, what speed-rating are you running? I'm curious because the size I'm considering is available in both a V and a Z rating. Inquiring minds want to know.

Mine happen to be Z rated, which is good to 149mph (as if I'll ever get the PT that high )

Yep, Z's here too. Like Tom said...I'll never get there, but....
Remember being a little kid & getting new shoes? You always felt like you could run faster!? Same thing applies here. LOL
