Default Turbo (mostly for Powertrip and bstockum)

Okay, got some more odd questions... Let's say someone wants to keep the 2.4L I4 and a Hahn turbo kit. If the only requirements are keeping a 2.4L I4, the Hahn turbo and that there can be no major cosmetic changes to the car itself, how far do you think you could push it? As in, how much power do you think the 2.4L I4 with turbo could make, without any nitrous, if your only limitations are the engine size and that no major cosmetic changes can be made to the car? Forget cost for the time being, although it could not be a project taking more than maybe a month. Any estimates? (Oh, and has to run on gasoline too...although I'm certain that'd be premium gas.)

Crower rods, if you were going for the gold .................... 650
Wiseco pistons/pins/rings ................................................. 425
I would get a new turbo block and head ........................ 1550
This means stand alone engine management ........... 2600
Custom grind cams and kit, gears tensioner .............. 600
Full on port and head work, O.S. valves/seats ............. 1800
Balance/blue-print/ assemble engine ........................... 1200
Misc machine work and special labors ........................ 500
custom intake manifold w/ 75 mm TB ........................... 1000
Hahn stage 5 turbo system w/super T25 turbo ........... 6500
Major clutch upgrades .................................................. ..... 1100
custom 3" exhaust system ............................................... 650

Looks like $18,500 + to make 650 streetable HP at 28 psi boost.. with 106 min octane fuel

Nice... How much power must be lost to tone the fuel down to 93 octane? Also...would any of this suffer from much turbo lag?

93 Octane will get you diddly squat unfortunately. If I had to hazard a geuss, you could probably make 300-325 with 93 octane.... (Or read: Max boost=14PSI)

What exactly are you trying to get? How much power are you looking for?

I'd want to get as much out of it as possible, with 93 octane (since that's what's at the pumps and this would be driven around and not just on a track) and no nitrous until it can go no further without nitrous. If one added nitrous, and was running only 93, how much power (estimate) could one make then? Oh, and is it possible to use a boost controller to tone it down so 93 octane could be used most of the time, then crank it back up ONLY when it's got 106 in it? A guy who lives near me has a Cuda that runs 106, I think, and he said he goes half 93 at the pump and half additive stuff he buys at an auto store or something like that...of course, I wouldn't want to go half additive all the time is why I'm asking about the boost controller...
