Question GT and Crane Ignition

Has anyone tried to install Crane Ignition system on new GT. I tried this weekend and was not very succesful. Crane has ststed that they have yet to test nad know car has a different ignition in it. Car would trip mil code 352. Car would run on 2 cylinders. Ignition timing out. Any help would be great.

Thanks

(wow, we need a spellchecker)

I went through chapter 8I - ignition systems in the 2003 service manual.
The ignition is identical to the 2.4L engine in the 2001-03 regular PT non-turbo.

The same plugs, coil, wires, capacitor,.... everything.
Replacement of these parts differs slightly due to the changes in the intake manifold, but the ignition is the same.

Page 381 of the 2003 powertrain diagnostics manual refers to code P0352.
P0352 - ignition coil #2 circuit
Set condition:
Peak current is not achieved in 20 counts while burn is short. One trip fault.(That means the code will set with a single failure. Many codes require several drive cycle faults to trip the MIL.)

You are using the Electronic Trigger module they supply, correct? If you try to run it without.....

As far as I know the Turbo and Non-Turbo are identical, as MX-5 stated above.

MX-5 I would be the first to admit I can not type. My downfall is not checking the spelling. Yes, whenever I use a wordprocessor I do check the spelling. Thanks for the proof reading. I'll try to do better.

Anyways to continue with problem. Yes, Powertrip I did have the electronic trigger installed. When I looked at the ignition system in tech manuals it looked identical. Crane states it is different. I think they make be correct from the stand point that the pcm may handle the ignition differently. Do they alter the ignition timing based on boost pressures? Does the pcm compare the ign. timing to crank, cam positions? The crank has many more notches in it. I would imagine will improve accuracy of postion. Any ideas are welcomed.

Thanks
