Yeah...seen what the weather was gonna do and it didn't seem worth the drive to go down and sit in the rain...but, we run across each other again in the spring when the weather is good.

Be Cool, James

Check out SuperBuyTires . Just use the "Wheels by Vehicle" selector and choose the rim diameter size you are interested in.

Round headlights? I'd love to see what you have in mind for that. I saw a picture of a shale green PT on another site where they installed what looked to be 1940 GM headlights..on top of..the original headlights that simply had covers put over them..and it looked terrible. It also had a huge travel trunk on the rear that was so big, it looked like it would tip the car over. PT's are actually very small cars, and when you start trying to make one look like a late-thirties, early-40's car with original 30's and 40's parts..the parts look too big, because those cars were so much larger than a PT.

2-tone..I won't be doin any mess like that...if I make the move to round, it'll be with a gread deal of work so that it works with the car, I'm not a bolt on person, I modify, I'll buy new fenders and save mine so that if it don't work out, I'll just put mine back on, but when the rounds go in it'll be done with alot of metal work, not a screw driver..

Sci-Fi, thanks for the link, they have ALOT of kickin wheels but not what I'm after, I'm hunting a wheel like came on say a 36 Ford that will fit my PT and be either painted or p-coated with a chrome center cap..I know they're out there, just aint found them yet but thanks for the link, I'll be ordering the wheels for the 89 GMC I'm doin right now from them.

be cool, James

Glad to hear you're going the route you are WUWU20..taking the time to do it the right way will make such a huge difference in the final product..good luck. I'll be anxiuos to see the end results if that's the direction you take for your PT.

You can't use older Ford wires as the bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5 and the inside mounting face won't work with disk brakes, Too, the rim drop is 4.5" and the rim width is 5.5" and tire selection is limited. You have to run tubes. Might work with adapters.
