Default New turbo manifold on early PT

Here is the new PT-GT intake. See, .. the boss is still there, on the back side of the intake for the EGR pipe! ... any one want to put one of these on, to get some air to their PT?!! The stock intake is very restrictive up near the TB.
The intakes are not all that expensive either, but would need to be machined for the EGR pipe! The stock fuel rail slides right in too.
More pix on my web page (new turbo engine thread) .. http://www.bstockum.com

Getting ready to set up to do this swap!

contact me at r.stockum@att.net for info. ...

That looks like all cast aluminum. I had my intake manifold off to put in platinum plugs, and at least the runners were thermoplastic (don't remember about further back).

I'd be interested in what improvement you find at what cost.

Bet turbo intake won't fit with my Pro-Felge strut bar which goes straight across from strut tower to strut tower.

Would one have to replace the lower manifold also? I assume after machining for the EGR pipe, everything would bolt up without any problems. Guess you can forget about mounting the modesty cover, if you have one.

Looks like you will have to use both the upper and lower sections together, as the runner diameter may not be exactly correct... besides, why not do the whole thing anyways! The aluminum can be PORTED and EXTRUDE HONED too!!!

Who needs a cover if it was polished? Looks like a $150 - $200 polish job.

I have to make an adapter for the 1200 cfm flow bench, so I can get some actual numbers on the old and the new manifolds.
I want to push and pull air through these to see what really happens.

I'll keep you posted! ... Bob

Bob:

Do you have a price for the upper and lower manifolds? And with all the necessary machining for a bolt-on?

Bob,

I'm rady to install now. I'll be guinea pig. IF you can modify and have ready I will install. I just got back from Maryland after working sailboat trade show. Local dealer had several turbos on lot. Wish I could have gotten by when they were open. Did you check out ID of new throttle body?

Thanks,

Eddie
