PT Dave:

I used to bracket race at OCIR back in the olden days, and a neat trick we did was "cross stage". At night, when it was a little harder to tell, as you pull up to stage you pull in crooked by steering either left or right. If you staged crooked enough you could increase your roll-out by a couple inches. We'd hit the gas as the second to the last amber was going out and still get a green.

Warning...if you have a car that gets .930 60 foot times, you'll run over the Christmas tree or hit the guardrail before you could react to straighten the car out.
