Default ** NEW PRICING on KYB shocks

I finally hooked up with a supplier for the KYB shocks and front struts. These are performance replacements for the stock factory shocks. Not racing shocks, ... they are tuned to European specs, which means 20% stiffer than stock. They do show a "stock" valving for the rear , ... but only one front number.

Check around and see what you come up with!

I may not have the best deal on these. This is the first time I have dealt with this company. They have 2 sets of rears in stock and 2 fronts coming. They will get what ever we need, but we have to show some "need", ... for them to stock up!

WOW!!! I did some digging and horse trading with the WD supplier and, ... if we can buy 10 or more pairs, we can get 42% off list on these bad boys!!

Let's RE-COMPUTE !! At ten or more pairs, ....

Front , Twin-tube gas strut ................................... list $ 91.06 ea.
pt # 235626 Less 42% ...... ($52.81)

Rear, high pressure gas shock ........................... list $ 58.13 ea.
pt# KG 5565... less 42% ... ($33.75)
** (these require a hardware kit) .......................... list $ 10.50
pt# K 104 less 42% ... ($6.09) .. 1 kit does 2 shocks

Rear, high press gas, "stock valving "................... list $ 58.13 ea.
pt# KG 4551 ... less 42% ... ($33.75)

These carry a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner.
I am waiting on the paper work.

If we get these in any group quality, ... I was told we could get some more off!

If enough are interested, we can do something on the group buy section.

r.stockum@att.net is the best way to contact me!

Thanks, Bob

Hmmmm. Our gains of going to this shock?
Would they still work for a mild lowering kit say about 1.5-2"/

I was hoping he would see this and might like to get a pari of rear ones and let us know how they fit, work, feel.

He said he was not having any luck finding shocks, so I wanted to make this info available, even though I haven't even recieved the catalagues yet!
I have been watching this develope for a while and it is finally coming together for KYB.

Getting a parts house to stock "a lot" of these new products, is tough, until they see some demand!

If you want a firmer ride with less body roll and better cornering, then springs a sway bars are part of the solution, ... stiffer shocks are the other part!

Later, ... Bob

Very interested in getting a set. I've used KYBs on my 67 vette and 67 mustang - I think they are a great alternative to stock shocks and struts and priced reasonably as far as "gas" shocks go.

Bob, are these shocks and struts made for the cruiser or part of their existing inventory that will fit our application? Not that it matters, I guess, as long as they fit.

Another question would be, are they for the stock ride highth and if they are will they work just as well on a lowered cruiser? (1.5/2" drop)

Thanks for you research, will e mail you about ordering.

Bob:

The front shocks, is that the price for the Front , "mono-tube high pressure gas strut" or just the replacement cartridges?

The front is a "Twin-tube, gas strut". direct replacement.
20 % stiffer action. I missed stated it when I said mono-shock. The rears are mono-shock, ... the fronts are twin-tube.

I should have the catalogues in a day or two. So I am going from my "notes", the best I can!

Thanks for the questions! ... Bob
