I've had a rough idle that got worse the colder the engine was, but a change of spark plugs and a tank of gas with P'Blaster in it cleared it right up. Been smooth ever since.

Well, lots of good suggestions, not sure where to really start. I guess, I will start with the type of gas I use to see how that goes. And go see my dealer if possible to discuss the engine mounts.

Anyone have any new updates on this topic as of late? I printed the excerpt from the 2002 Service Manual above, but without the picture, who knows if the .5 Star dealer can figure it out. Besides, why have them try doing that if it's not the problem? Just looking for an update, that's all.

I think achr hit it on the head - before you go looking for an internal engine fix try changing fuel brands. Whoever does all the polls should try this one: How many PT Cruiser owners complaining of rough idle switched from a 6 or 8 cylinder car? 4 cylinder motors are very sensitive to fuel quality. My rough idle problem went away with a regular regimen of Dry-gas ( every 6-8 weeks) and not letting my tank get less than 1/3 full. Sometimes the best solution to a problem is the simplest.

For what it's worth, I'm using Shell gas in my 2002 (Auto.), with 2,800 miles on it and it runs very smooth, at all speeds.
