As a long time "Car-freak" I have always been a firm believer of "the more gauges the better". We have a triple pillar pod that has "oil pressure" - Nitrous pressure" and a clock (our radio displays "screen savers graphics" that we use - so no clock is displayed). On the dash we also have: remote fuel pressure - an L.E.D. air/fuel ratio and S.C. boost gauges. Under the hood is fuel pressure and nitrous pressure gauges mounted in chrome gauge pods attached to the side of a chrome plated Airaid box. As for the Carroll Fuel Mangement System... it provides a higher and more regulated fuel pressure to the S.C. across the entire rpm range (idle to full throttle).... I feel it's well worth the extra$$$ spent. Plus it looks cool!!!! Also using a "Crane" electronic ignition.

Just a question, Don't you have to "notch or cut" out the sub-frame in order the clear the supercharger belt on the Whipple? Have read of several Whipple supercharger belts breaking or being worn through on some installations even with the cutout.

rocknsd,
If Kenne Bell is claiming 216hp @ the wheels, that's pretty good. My Whipple is somewhere in the 180 hp range...but I am a very happy camper. Sci-Fi, You are correct, the frame does have to be "notched" but if the Whipple is installed by an expert installer like PT-Tuning, they make certain the clearance is adequate so the belt will not rub on anything. In the two years I've been running the Whipple, I have thrown two belts. On both occasions, the belt was completely gone so I couldn't determine the cause. One time, I was really on it traveling on the 405 frwy, a smart-ass cut me off and I had to let up on the throttle very quickly...the belt blew. Belts blow from time to time...it's a way of life with a supercharger...but you do learn to change belts...ain't no big thing.

If you get a SC, PT-Tuning is the ONLY way to go if you want a vendor who stands behind its product 110% and will go all out to ensure it runs right and that you are happy. No matter where you are, if you are going to spend $5,000 for a SC, it's worth it to spend the extra money to travel to PT-Tuning to have your SC installed. I speak from experience dealing with PT-Tuning and having my SC installed by them. I could not be happier with the manner in which PT-Tuning treated me, provided excellent customer service and stood behind its prodocut and install. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

( I smile smuggly) Every time I hear about KB coming out with a product in 60 days I have to laugh. That is their standard response to everything. I have tried to do buisness with them on other products for other cars over the years and I have waited and waited for them to be released and it is always the same story, vendor problems, production problems, testing problems, etc...that is when they answer the phone at all. At first I would drive an hour both ways just to try to talk to them because they never answered the phone. I finally learned that they are full of BS
If they don't have it available now, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM THAT IT IS COMING SOON! Then, once you have one of their products, do not expect any help from them as far as after the sale support. If you bolt it on and you have problems, it will always be your fault and they can't help you solve the problem. I gave up on them a long time ago.
