Talking Well the Cruiser is gone !

Well the cruiser is gone !
While bonny and I were out running errands on Saturday. We stopped to see if the truck I had seen earlier in the week was still there ?
It was and set up just like I wanted it to be. The salesman we had talked to a few weeks earlier remembered how I wanted one set up and went ahead and ordered one hoping I would come back. Well the cruiser is gone now and now I have a new 2008 Toyota Tacoma in the garage. Tuesday it goes back for paint treatment, undercoating etc. And to fix a small scratch I found on it ?
And later I have running tubes coming so Bonny can get into it. It sits a lot higher than the cruiser !
Although I will miss the cruiser, I have wanted a new Tacoma for a while, as the snow situation on our street has left us stranded a few times. No more with a 4X4 !

Can't believe you've left the PT family after all these years...but I understand why if you've been getting stranded!! Best of luck with the new truck!

Yeah .

In the picture, the curved road has a small lake/pond to the left of it. When it snows it can drift to 10"-12" even when we only get 6"
So the cruiser just was not able to get thru it.... I got stuck a few years back down the street and had to use a snow blower for almost a half a block to get the car to the house. The city is very slow in getting to our street !
But it has been a very reliable car for me besides that..

I have a 77 Dodge power wagon and i have had it buried so deep in snow i thought i would have to wait for spring to get it out. so be sure to put weight in it for traction this next winter. " oh " it wasent in Las Vegas it was when i lived in Wyoming. i have had it for 30 years and still drive it about 50 miles a year, 10 miles per gallon of $3.60 a gallon means it sits .

Well I have had it for a week now.
Added aluminum Toyota step tubes, so Bonny can get in it !
This thing really rides nice, and powerful !
Not as great on the gas mileage 16 in town so far. But my cruiser never really got that great a mileage either.
Got some TRD license plate frames, tonneau cover coming for it. Since my son lives in Chicago off of Lake Shore drive. And you can't drive a pickup truck on that road if it doesn't have a cover on the back of it !

Strange thing is, I keep reaching for the center to put the windows down !

Fred, I've had to go the same way. There weren't many shows nearby and the Cruiser just sat. Gas being what it got to, I traded Almond Joy and my Tuscon for a Honda Civic Hybrid. It'll never be the Cruiser, but it is getting well over 43 mpg.

I'll probably will be leaving the PT Scene soon (not that soon, maybe in 1 year or in the fall)

Im looking into to replacing the pt with a compact suv from volkswagen called the "Tigaun" its a popular small suv that keep selling out in other regions so theyre finally releasing it to the US, I test drove one today and oh man what a fun ride.

this isnt a gas guzzler suv, its suppose to help save alot of gas. I commute to work everyday in my PT and i keep having to fill up gas every 1 week so I cant afford to refill every other few weeks when I have plans on the weekends as well.

All the tigauns model comes with a FSI Turbo Engine

Anyhoo heres a shot of the tiguan -
