Default PT Panel

Here's the newest changes on the Panel conversion. Insulation on the interior side panels. Subfloor has also been cut and has the same insulation under it. Painter doesn't want it down till they paint. Hopefully it will be somewhat quiet. Duals are a little loud and don't want wind noise.

Looks like the work is moving ahead good. If you want the quiet make sure you Dynamat the whole entire floor. It made a huge difference in my PT.

I'm waiting for summer, then going to dynamat the entire interior of mine. Take out the seats, carpet, everything, then do the walls. Also hear it helps achieve better speaker clarity if you use it on the door side of the panels.

Angry Re: PT Panel

I still don't understand why Chrysler never made a PT Panel. It doesn't make sense.

It's because they DON'T LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO WANT ONE.....
I would buy one in a heart beat....But thinking about the HHR Panel now. I guess if you want one that's the way to go without all the body work. I can't wait to see the finished work HUDD is putting into his cruiser.

I looked at the HHR but don't like the line down the side splitting the panel. The rear doors are still there. Just filled in. We've ran into a couple of problems. First the interior panels don't fit at all at the back corners. Can't get a response from PTeazer. The body shop where we were doing the work was going to fix them but the owner shut the business down Monday.
The body man helping me is going to another shop and they won't allow me to come in and work with him. At this point we are going to use his brother in laws home garage to do the back panels and try to find a paint booth we can use. Another delay!!!! Need some good luck to show up.

Bosch,
Doesn't look good right now. Keeping my fingers crossed though. I may have ticked him off pushing to get something done. Hasn't called back twice. May have to find someone else and I really don't want to. S__t happens.
Duck,
Thanks for the comments and the Irish good luck. Hopefully it will work. Hope to catch up with you soon.
