Better than my Fords, and better than 79 Corvette that I once had years ago. It had a L82 engine with 174 hp

I had a 2002 Dreamer with no problems other than the front hitting low curbs or steep driveways......the stock wheels also lost air quite often. We had it for 32,000 miles & it was nearly flawless....
I just biught a new 2005 GT turbo vert, under 100 miles on the clock (never sold I bought in aug 2007), that when it came from the dealer.....front drivers speaker not working, front passenger seat would not tilt forward to allow people in the rear, A/C very warm, heater box stuck in the front vent position,
headrests paint was "peeling", bad motor mount....
All has been repaired or replaced by dealer......My 2005 Toyota Highlander & 2007 HHR came from dealer flawless....

The chrome wheels corrode on those Dreamers, and air starts leaking around the valve stem seats.

We had to replace the ones on my wife's car. Chrysler picked up half. I wanted them to pick up the whole thing--wheels should last longer than 3.5 years.

Still need a few more cars to get started with the PT. Just two or three short for a few models years.

Just need one more 2003 owner to sign up to start with that year.

Also only four short with the 2002, the year of my wife's PT.

Other years about 3/4 of the way.

The 2003 is now included in the main survey. Thanks, guys.

Other years are close. To get started, just need a few more people for most of them.

The 2004 is now also just a few owners short of the minimum.

For the details, and to help get your model year included in the results:

Thumbs up Re: PT Cruiser reliability - how does it compare?

I just signed up at True Delta. Original owner of 2001 Limited, now has 119,600 miles on the clock. Other than routine maintenance, never an unexpected repair or problem. Just had the timing belt and tensioner replaced - and now the engine is much smoother than before, and the gas mileage has improved much better.

I've done a lot less to the PT than my previous 1993 Honda Civic EX - which needed a new distributor and alternator by 105,000 miles, when I bought the PT.

Wish we'd been so lucky with my wife's PT. Just had a wheel bearing, solenoid pack, and horn replaced

About to start the last month of data collection before the May results. I'd very much like to include the 2001, 2002, and 2004, but they're all still 2-4 owners short of the minimum.

The 2003 is barely over that minimum, so more participants would also help for that year.
