I want an SRT version.
Is that too much to ask? Or do I have to buy a Kaliper? Or a Mazdaspeed3 to get a small 4-door wagon with a high Smiles Per Gallon average?

Chrysler looked like it was starting to have a vision with the PT Cruiser introduction & up to 2005 with the convertible. I have bought 3 New Pt Cruisers from the dealers, 2002 5 Spd LTD, 2004 Automatic GT, & now the 2005 GT 5 Spd Convertible. I hated what they did so much to the 2006, that I quickly sought out & Acquired a New 2005 leftover this past March. It will probably be my last Chrysler Purchase. Make the Retro better, Not Eliminate it.

[quote=Mark29;594638]Because a non-turbo V6 can take regular octane gas. Provided the weight doesn't go up much more, a V6 powered PT will have much more oomph than a n/a 4 cylinder w/o much of a dent in mileage. That to me makes it very attractive.[/QUOTE \
I haven't seen any V6 that was worse on gas then any PT motor. Turbo or not and they burn 87 octane fuel. .An example is the 3.5 Chevy Impala. It get's around 24 local and 32 plus on the road. Lets see a PT do that with an Automatic and spin wheels at a light. I know this because I rented one.

Guess DCX doesnt know about the 56-60 era Plymouth Furys both in circle and drag racing. Or the 60's Cuda hemis or even the baby cuda 64-66 exp the hipo version. And for versatility the 39 Plymouth businessmans coupe with the insertable pickup bed for the trunk- factory option. The list goes on and on..... The Jerks....

I want a still-retro PT as the NEXT one. I would like a V6 if it can be squeezed in there. If not, a nice, big, four cylinder. And a manual trans option on any and all engines.
I also want a large, tall, rear door so things can be fit in that are tall as well as wide. The HHR does not cut it for that reason. |

If I could talk my wife into it I'd like to trade her 06 Convertible in for an 07 Chevy Impala with a 3.5 V6 .Now that car sings . good on looks and it's great on the gas.
